These are the shells which have been chopped they will produce lighter brown/beige colours than the dried hulls.
Soak for a week before use and slowly heat to extract the dye.
No mordants are required for this dye, but modifiers will and can give interesting colour effects.
Not food safe, so please do not make a drink with this dye.
